Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. Following his graduation at Sanderson High School, in 2010 he enrolled at Wake Forest University and obtained the Bachelor's degree in Economics. James was famous after the show The Bachelorette as a reality television star. He was selected in 2020 to become the 25th season bachelor of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show premiered 2021. James is a great fit for this role as he's tall, handsome and funny. The series was over when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue an affair with the actress. James was paired with dancer Arnold, who was famous in the era of his participation in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold were ranked 12th.
